Ramirent has added 45 Geda transport platforms to its fleet.

The Ramirent order included 25 Geda 300 Z/ZP and 20 Geda 500 Z/ZP transport platforms for use in Finland.

The platforms have two separate control systems and can be used as a construction hoist for transporting materials and as a transport platform for people and materials.

The Geda 300 Z/ZP has a 300 kg or three-person load capacity and a lifting height of 50 m. The Geda 500 Z/ZP has a 500 kg or three-person load capacity and also has a lifting height of 50 m.

Finland’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Department of Occupational Safety and Health authorised the use of transport platforms by people on Finnish construction projects in February 2013. Before that, national regulations meant it was not possible to install transport platforms for use by people on Finnish building sites. As such, Ramirent expects strong demand for its new Geda platforms in Finland, it said.
