Provisional figures show a total sales revenue of €9,248 million (US$ 10,040 million) for the Liebherr Group in 2015. As the highest revenue in the group’s history, it represents an increase of €425 million ($461 million) or 4.8%, year-on-year.

Of the crane divisions, maritime cranes showed growth. By region, revenue increases for the group were posted in the Middle East, the Far East, Australia and in America. Revenue in Western Europe was largely unchanged from the previous year. Sales declined in Eastern Europe and Africa.

Investments in manufacturing and sales and service totalled €746 million ($810 million). Included were expansion of the diesel and gas engine production facilities at Bulle in Switzerland and a logistics centre for the worldwide supply of spare parts for Liebherr earthmoving machines in Germany. At the port of Fenit in Ireland the maritime crane production company began building a new assembly hall.

In outlook Liebherr Group forecasts a moderate growth in revenue. Increases are expected in most product areas, the company said. Final figures for 2015 will be in the annual report published in June 2016.
