Austrian compact crusher specialist Rockster has announced the launch of its largest tracked crusher to date in the shape of the 32 tonne R1100 impact crusher, which joins the company's R800 and R900 compact machines. With a maximum throughput of 345 tonne per hour, depending on the feed material, the R1100 features Rockster's patented Duplex system, which allows the machine to be switched from an impact unit to a jaw unit but simply switching over the crusher unit.

According to CEO Wolfgang Kormann: "We were receiving more and more requests from our distribution partners for a bigger machine that would cover a wider market segment. The design and launch of the R1100 is our response - a crusher that still features compact transport dimensions but at the same time boasts a performance level of close to 300 tonnes per hour."

The main discharge conveyor can be lowered hydraulically to allow ease of fitting Rockster's optional screen box, as well as to allow blockages to be cleared from ground level. The R1100 also features a two-stage 1.8 m (5.9 ft) prescreener.
