Dubai-based Rental Solutions & Services (RSS) has installed 80 MVA of rental power for two power utility companies in Oman, its first power project in the country.

RSS has built temporary power plants at four locations - Ja'laan Bani Bu Ali Grid Station, Al Mulladah Intersection Station, and at Dibba and Ghundham. The power will support Oman's power grid during the summer period when demand is high.

Peter den Boogert, general manager of RSS power projects, said; "The power projects are full turn-key power solutions for both the Oman power generation authorities."

The company has deployed 24 hour technicians, operators and project engineers "to ensure uninterrupted supply." Mr den Boogert added that that 68 MVA of the power is supplied at "at 33 kV, which only a few rental companies can currently provide."

RSS already delivers rental power and temporary cooling plants in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
