Dubai-based rental company Santos has added a 160 tonne Terex Demag all terrain to its fleet in a bid to keep up with the region's expanding market.

The AC160-2 will be delivered to the company's Qatar branch Santos International. It is the first of nine all terrain cranes ordered by Santos from the Terex Demag Zweibruken factory in Germany. They include two AC80-2s and two AC120-1s, along with an AC50-1, AC100/4, AC250-1 and AC300/6.

Sarmad Al-Zadjaly, Santos general manager, said the orders were part of a long term plan. "We are planning on expanding with the market to make sure we can supply the demand from the booming market in UAE and Qatar."
