Crane company Sarens Nass, Bahrain, has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1, which helped mark the company’s 10th anniversary. The crane is the 400th unit of this model to be delivered by Liebherr.

A joint venture between the Sarens Group based in Belgium and the Nass Group of Companies, Sarens Nass, also provides heavy transport solutions both locally and internationally throughout the Middle East. The company has a fleet of 300 mobile and crawler cranes with load capacities of up to 500 tonnes and a range of heavy transport vehicles. The new LTM 1500-8.1 telescopic crane is the second 500 tonne capacity Liebherr to join the fleet.

Released in 2008, the LTM 1500-8.1 has a 12 tonne axle load and a 96 tonne gross weight. It can travel, complete with outrigger supports and a 4-section 50 metre telescopic boom, at speeds of up to 80 km/h on the road, the company said. An 84 metre telescopic boom is also available.
