The Lundin family in Sweden, founders of the Ermator air cleaning equipment business, has returned to the industry with a new company, SILA.

Mats Lundin, son of Ermator founder Erik Lundin, left Ermator when it was sold to Pullman in 2006, creating Pullman Ermator. Now he has returned to the industry as CEO of SILA, a company that is producing a range of portable air cleaning products. Another family member, Andreas Lundin, is sales and marketing director.

SILA has launched two air cleaners, the large SILA 2000A (pictured), with a 2000 m3/hr air flow, and the smaller SILA 1000A, which has a 1000 m3/hr volume. The units weigh 25 kg and 15 kg, respectively.

The company - based in Gällö, central Sweden - said the units had been designed for safety and ease of use. They also incorporate what SILA called a ‘sanitation frame’, a neat device that makes it very easy to isolate contaminated and uncontaminated areas of an indoor space.
