The first IPAF regional meeting of this year will be held on 7 February 2013 in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

The meeting will be hosted by Mark Yarnold, Snorkel’s district manager for UK and Ireland, who will welcome attendees and present Snorkel’s business plans for 2013 and beyond.

Martin Wraith, operations director of INATIV, will provide an overview of the Driver CPC and the requirements of the European Directive. He will look at training options that employers and employees have to ensure compliance with and explain how IPAF training centres can use the IPAF courses that they offer to get these accredited as Driver CPC training hours.

Other speakers include Giles Councell, IPAF director of operations, who will give an update on IPAF’s recent activities, and Peter Douglas, operations director of Nationwide Platforms, will share how the company, as a business, has learnt from its accidents and used innovation to help reduce the risk to its staff over the last few years.

IPAF regional meetings are open to both members and non-members, and end with a networking opportunity and light buffet supper. Register in advance at www.ipaf.org/en/services/regional-meetings
