Speedy Hire quashes HSS merger rumours

04 December 2015

UK rental company Speedy Hire has denied being in merger talks with rival HSS Hire. In a brief statement, the company said it was “not considering a combination with HSS”.

The statement came after two directors left Speedy Hire in quick succession in November – non-executive directors James Morley and Chris Masters.

According to Sky News, the two were said to have opposed secret merger talks. However, Speedy Hire has not confirmed this and refused to comment.

HSS Hire refused to comment.
