UK-based equipment hire firm Speedy has launched an App for iPhones to enable customers to access depots while out of station.

Information on all 325 Speedy branches is available through the App, including opening hours. The app also offers a GPS to help users find Speedy branches based on their current location. A manual location search is also available.

"Our customers aren't glued to a computer all day", said Steve McIntyre, group marketing director at Speedy, "Contractors often work at a variety of sites, and the nature of the work they undertake can sometimes be unpredictable, meaning they need to get hold of the right equipment at short notice.

"This App solves this problem by allowing users to have all the latest Speedy depot information at their fingertips".

The Speedy App is available for download from the App store. An Android version is planned for the future.

Speedy developed the App with digital marketing agency Tecmark.
