Terex-Demag S-540

06 May 2008

On show are two Terex-Demag mobile cranes, one Terex-American crawler crane and a rough terrain crane from Terex Waverly.

Representing the smaller end of the mobile crane range is the three-axle AC 55 City introduced at the Bauma show last year. Maximum lifting capacity is 65 US tons and it has a 40 m (132 ft) main boom, a new two-man cab and a counterweight arrangement that can be altered on site.

Up the capacity scale is the AC 140, also introduced at Bauma. Its main boom is 60 m (197 ft) and maximum lifting capacity is 170 US tons. Using the carrier from the larger AC 160-1 improves the AC 140's roadability in many US states because of its axle spacing and load distribution.

On show from the crawler range is the Terex-American HC 165, which fills the gap between the range-topping HC 275 and the HC 110. Maximum capacity is 165 tons

From the boom truck series visitors can see the largest model, the RS70100 with its 70000 lb (31.7 tonne) lifting capacity and a maximum tip height of 140 ft (42.7 m).

In addition, there are two 75 tonners on display: the RT 775 with 134 ft (40.8 m) maximum tip height and the T775 truck crane with 133 ft (40.5 m) maximum tip height.
