Texada completes name change to Noble Iron

24 July 2012

Canadian software company Texada Software Inc has changed its name to Noble Iron Inc, reflecting its investment in the US equipment rental business Noble Iron. The software division will continue to operate under the brand name Texada Software.

The name change was approved by Texada's shareholders at the company's annual general meeting on 28 June.

Noble Iron now operates in three sectors: equipment rental in California and Texas, an equipment dealership in Southeast Texas (where it represents Chinese manufacturer Liugong); and the Texada rental software business.

The software company first entered the equipment rental market in August last year with the acquisition of Rolls High Reach in California. In May this year the company recapitalised the rental business by raising US$25 million.

Willie Swisher is CEO and president of Noble Iron and Brian Spilak is president of the Texada division.
