Port equipment manufacturer and supplier Timars, based in Sweden, has chosen Akerströms for a major remote control order worth around SEK 900,000 (approximately US$ 105,000).

The order relates to the reconstruction of older trucks, including the refurbishment of 40 existing vehicles to equip them with Akerströms’ remote control solutions. The remote controls will be used for functions for loading and unloading of bridge sections.

Andreas Hedström, director of sales and exports at remote control manufacturer Akerströms, said, “We will supply a customised solution based on the customer’s particular requirements, which will feature a combination of remote control and cable control.”
