Trojan appoints VP of quality

Trojan Battery Co., LLC, has named Robert Gibson as vice president of quality. Gibson is responsible for overseeing and managing all quality activities at Trojan locations worldwide.

Gibson brings more than 25 years of leadership experience from a wide range of organizations to this new role.

“Under Robert’s executive leadership, Trojan is well positioned to continue building upon our commitment to providing the highest quality products available on the market today,” said Jeff Elder, president and chief executive office for Trojan Battery. “Robert possesses the experience and skills required to achieve Trojan’s business expansion goals.”

Gibson has held various executive management positions with a wide range of Fortune 500 companies including Johnson & Johnson, Cardinal Health, and General Electric. He most recently served as vice president of global quality assurance and regulatory affairs at Rapiscan Systems, a supplier of security inspection systems. In this role, Gibson was responsible for the company’s global quality system and operated under provisions from the Department of Homeland Security.

Gibson earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees in environmental sciences from the University of California, Riverside. Robert is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
