Chinese crane manufacturer XCMG has launched its new truck crane, the XCT90U, shown at the ConExpo exhibition in Las Vegas earlier in 2014.

The 90 US ton (82 tonne) capacity model has a 45 metre five section U-section boom. Configured with a jib the maximum lifting height is 62.2 m, the manufacturer said. Its maximum load moment is given by the manufacturer as 300 tonne-metres.

It is designed to have compact dimensions and is 14.3 m long, 2.8 m wide and 3.8 high. The five axle carrier has three driven axles and a 12-speed automatic transmission. Power comes from a 373 kW Cummins ISX15 500 diesel engine that meets the EPA2013 emission standards, the manufacturer said.

Its load limiter is designed to meet the requirements of the European standard EN13000, the manufacturer added. As part of the high-end XCT series the new crane is designed with the North American and European markets in mind.
