US-based contractor Tutor Perini’s subsidiary Tutor Perini Building Corp. has won a $228.6 million deal to build connectors between terminals at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Florida.

The work involves building enclosed post-security walkways between Terminals 1 and 2 and Terminals 2 and 3. It also involves modifications to existing terminals, such as enhanced security checkpoints, an upgraded baggage hall, an expanded passenger gate-area hold room and more retail concessions.

Work is set to start in the second quarter of 2024, with substantial completion expected in the third quarter of 2027.

Tutor Perini has been awarded the work by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
