UK first with Demag for Road Rail Cranes

Road Rail Cranes has taken delivery of the first Demag AC 100-4L all terrain crane to be delivered in the UK. It brings to 11 the number of mobile cranes in the company’s exclusively Terex Cranes fleet, which operates nationally out of Wrexham and Bristol.

In the 100 tonne capacity class, the four-axle Demag has a maximum boom length of 59.4 metres and a maximum system length of 81.7 m. At 2.55 m wide, the Demag AC 100-4L is claimed to be the most compact crane in its class.

Ian Cross, Road Rail joint managing director, said, “The overall performance, flexibility and size of the AC 100-4L, plus its IC-1 Plus control system that enables asymmetric outrigger settings, made this an easy choice for us.

“This really is a crane in a class of its own and, since 2013 when we first started buying Terex cranes, we have always enjoyed a high level of service and support from the manufacturer.”
