Unic Cranes Europe has launched the URW-295-3 mini spider crane.

Showcased at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany, last month, the URW-295-3 is 600 mm wide, allowing it to fit through a standard width UK doorframe. Lifting capacity is 2.9 tonnes. Its main 8.65 metre boom can lift to a height of 8.8 metres and, with optional jib, can reach up to 10.47 metres with a fixed hook where required.

According to the company, this latest model, an upgrade of the URW 295, keeps the benefits of its predecessor and also includes variable, adjustable outriggers. They allow a smaller footprint for work in extremely tight places.

Graeme Riley, Unic Cranes Europe CEO, said, “The introduction of adjustable, variable outriggers enables this already popular mini crane to be used in applications that previously would not have been possible. Its ability to operate around fixed obstacles on sites will make it a welcomed addition to our new and existing customer base across the UK and Europe.”

The mini spider crane also includes a Lift-Smart Advanced Safety System, incorporating a 7-inch (colour screen safe load indicator to prevent the crane operating outside of its safe working envelope.
