Vermeer's BC230XL has been developed for the European market.

US compact equipment, landscaping and drilling machine specialist Vermeer shows a wide range of new products at Bauma, including the BC230 brush chipper developed specifically for the European market.

The BC230XL, which fills a gap between its BC160 and BC1000 models, has a 23 cm by 35.5 cm in-feed opening size and weighs 1980 kg. This places it between the 16 cm BC160 and the 30 cm BC1000. Built in the US, the new unit is powered by a 49.2 kW stage IIIB Kubota diesel engine.

The company makes a range of mini skid steers, the latest of which – launched late last year – is the S450 TX, adding to the existing 650 and 800 models.
