Zoomlion's Gold Coast
10 July 2009
Zoomlion Australia-New Zealand and Zoomlion Finance and Leasing (Australia) hosted an opening ceremony last month to cement the Chinese manufacturer's presence in the region.
The event, held on the Gold Coast and hosted in conjunction with its Australian dealer Dellgale, attracted over 300 guests including local governors and the Chinese Consul General from Brisbane.
Zoomlion claims to be the first Chinese construction equipment manufacturer to open offices and offer leasing facilities in Australia, a country the company views as one of its most important overseas markets. To date, Zoomlion has exported over US$ 20 million of machines to Australia and in May the company introduced its road roller and grader lines there.
On 29 April Zoomlion Finance and leasing (Australia) won its first contract in Brisbane in a deal valued at over AU$ 700000 (US$ 543000). The deal was the first overseas leasing contract for China's financial leasing companies.
At a signing ceremony in the afternoon, Zoomlion sold a 25 and a 50 tonne truck crane, a cargo crane and one truck mounted concrete pump. The company also signed a 12 month leasing contract for a TC7030 tower crane.
