Skanska in US medical centre deal

Swedish contractor Skanska has signed a contract worth US$ 140 million for a new ambulatory care pavilion at the existing Westchester Medical Center, US.

The project comprises a 26,000 m², eight-story pavilion, which will include a new ambulatory operating room suite, imaging centre, reception, physician office space, entry canopy for patient drop-off, and new roof-top mechanical, electrical and plumbing units.

The company will also expand the existing car park.

Construction will begin in June this year and is expected to be completed in September 2018.
