Gorman-Rupp invests in Europe

18 March 2008

US pump manufacturer Gorman-Rupp acquired in April a controlling interest in Wavo Pompen BV, a Netherlands pump manufacturer with facilities in Leeuwarden and Culemborg.

Wavo Pompen, which has managed Gorman-Rupp's European distribution centre in Leeuwarden since 2002, will continue to offer pumping equipment for sale and rent to its customers in the industrial, municipal and construction markets in The Netherlands.

Jeffrey Gorman, Gorman-Rupp's president and chief executive officer, said; “we look forward to the benefits of expanding our international presence and increasing our line of pump products and services offered throughout the European community.”
