CTE has developed a Z-20 mounted on a 5 t GVW Bremach 4x4 all terrain carrier, offering it as a lower cost alternative to a Unimog mounted unit. The Bremach unit uses an Iveco engine. Meanwhile, CTE reports that on 28 June, Sol Ge (which is majority owned by CTE) completed the formal acquisition of Effer Group, including Bizzocchi. It has been ‘leasing' the businesses since last November, waiting for the settlement between creditors and the Italian courts. CTE tells AI that Sol Ge - comprising Effer cranes and Bizzocchi - will report sales of € 20.4 million for the first half of 2006 and is forecasting sales of € 44 million for the full year.
