McCluskey Plant & Machinery (MPM) has signed a distribution agreement with Access Platform Sales (APS) to offer Hinowa tracked products for sale in Northern Ireland.

MPM will now sell and support the complete Hinowa range of rough terrain tracked mini dumpers and ride-on tracked forklifts.

The lightweight forklifts can be used for construction, materials handling, landscaping, farming and horticulture. Hydraulic widening increases the machine width from 1.24m to 1.8m, allowing the units to lift and carry loads of up to 2 tonnes. Available attachments include a crane kit, pole/pillar holder kit, spool kit and an extended forks kit.

Hinowa also produces seven mini-dumpers on tracks, most of which are narrow enough to fit through a standard garden gate. The dumpers are available with petrol engine or battery powered and can carry loads of up to 2.5 tonnes. The chassis can be fitted with a self-loader, high tipper, mini-excavator, farm bed, spray kit, levelling blade and hydraulic winch.

Based in Hillsborough, MPM is already the exclusive dealer for Western Fuel and Water Storage Systems in Northern Ireland and an affiliated dealer for Terberg shunter-tractors for the whole of Ireland. It is also an independent sales agent for the TBF Thompson range of products.

The move is the latest step in APS’ strategy for growth. APS recently announced a merger with Independent Parts & Service (IPS) to create the UK’s largest independent, full service distributor for powered access equipment. APS has also expanded its product offering, after becoming the exclusive UK distributor for the Wienold Lifte range of material lifts.
