Berlin desitination for EDA

The European Demolition Association is heading to Berlin for its 2012 Annual Convention, which will take place on 14-16 June 2012 in the Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin, located in Berlin's Tiergarten district.

The EDA has produced a provisional programme for the event, but at this stage naturally details of the conference programme itself are not available. However, the framework for the event has been established.

Thursday 14 June will see the start of the event with the EDA Technical Committee holding closed workshops followed by the board of directors meeting. The public events will commence that evening with a Welcome Cocktail Reception open to all.

Friday 15 June will follow the traditional format, with a formal opening of events by EDA president Giuseppe Panseri that will be followed by the EDA General Assembly. The conference sessions will then begin, punctuated by the usual coffee breaks and business lunch. The business of the day will be brought to a close by round table events.

For those not attending the conference, the EDA has put in place its usual programme of social events with Friday seeing a visit to the Potsdam complex of palaces and parks, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site.

As usual, the day's proceedings will be brought to a close by a Gala Dinner, but the EDA has yet to announce the venue.

Saturday 16 June will see a mix of workshop sessions and visits to specific demolition sites in the city for delegates to choose from, with other leisure activities being put in place. The event will be brought to a close with tour of the city in the afternoon, followed by an informal dinner at a venue yet to be determined.
