Telehandler manufacturer Bobcat has signed an agreement with German engine manufacturer Deutz to supply a number of its models with a new compact engine.

The TCD 3.6 L4 by Deutz will now be fitted in TL360, TL470, T40140 and T40180 telehandlers. It was developed for use in agricultural equipment as well as construction machinery. The compact, water-cooled four-cylinder service engine has an operating capacity of 55.4 to 90 kW at 2300 rpm.

It offers a customer-oriented, modular system, to which optional attachments can be added, including an exhaust gas after-treatment system (DOC). The TCD 3.6 comes with a charge air cooler and needs only an oxidation catalyst to meet the requirements of EU 3B and US EPA Tier 4 interim emission categories.

"We are delighted that Bobcat relies on Deutz for the propulsion of its special vehicles. The cooperation with Bobcat once again underscores the versatility and robustness of our engines, which are deployed in a great variety of different application fields," said Michael Wellenzohn, director sales & marketing at Deutz.
