Cargotec completes employee negotiations

28 March 2013

A total of 105 people will be made redundant as a result of Cargotec’s employee co-operation negotiations surrounding its operations in Hudiksvall, Sweden.

The negotiations were launched in November 2012 and were completed on 25 March 2013. The measures aim at adjusting Cargotec's operations to improve the profitability of its Hiab business area and to respond to the global load handling equipment market situation, the company said.

Part of the Hudiksvall unit's production responsibility will transfer to Cargotec's unit in Stargard, Poland, closer to customers and suppliers, the company added.
