The show organisers for GIS (Giornate Italiane del Sollevamento), an Italian trade fair aimed at the crane, lifting and heavy transport industry, have announced that the 2013 edition of the show will take place 26-28 September in Piacenza, Italy.

The fourth edition of GIS will showcase industry leaders from among the 150 Italian manufacturers providing machinery and equipment for the lifting sector, including manufacturers of cranes, mobile cranes, aerial work platforms, overhead travelling cranes, construction hoists and telehandlers.

Supplementing the product promotion will be a display of tower cranes, with a tower crane operator contest set to take place in the demonstration area of the exhibition.

GIS 2013 will also offer a programme of technical seminars and conferences aimed at updating participants on the latest technological and regulatory developments in the Italian and international market.

Trade associations ANNA (Association of National Crane Hire and Heavy Transportation), AITE (Italian Association of Heavy Transport Companies) and IPAF Italy (International Powered Access Federation) are supporting GIS 2013.
