İstanbul Vinç adds Holland Lift to its service offering

The maintenance and service team of Istanbul Vincundertake two days of training on the Holland Lift range of scissors.

The maintenance department of theTurkish access rental and sales company, İstanbul Vinç Group, has added further expertise to its service with training from Wim Roos and Kadir Özdemir from Holland Lift Servi-Tec.

Originally İstanbul Vinç's service and maintenance department was established just to take care of its own rental fleet but over the last two years the company has grown the service to offer it to Turkish users of a number of different manufacturers' machines including JLG, Genie, Teupen, Skyjack and Holland Lift.

The six man maintenance department, headed up by service director Kemal İçer undertook the two day training from Holland Lift, of which the company is a distributer. Mustafa Bilgin company director said, "This training will help us to provide a faster service. Speed is very important in service: if you can cannot find the problem quickly, you cannot solve the problem quickly and your customer will lose money, We want to serve them better and get machines running fast. After the training our team has more confidence in fixing problems because they are more skilled.

"We are also distributer of IPS," said Mr Bilgin, "so we dont have any problem providing spare parts."

İstanbul Vinc was established in 1996 and since then has developed into a leading crane and access platform hire company serving both local and international markets.

The Group includes a a sales company called Tower Rent 50% of which is owned by İstanbul Vinc and 50% by its Netherlands Partner. Tower Rent was established in 2008 to support the rapidly growing and maturing access market in Turkey. It currently focuses on selling and renting aluminium scaffold towers and low level work podiums from Instant Upright and is also the regional dealer for companies including IPS, CTE and Holland Lift.

A further partnership company is Biglift, a rental business, which offers a truck mounted rental fleet from 45m upwards. The company currently has all Wumag machines of 53m and 70m working heights. İstanbul Vinc and another platform rental company called Ayhanlar Platform are 50:50 partners in this enterprise.
