Singapore contractor G Projects has hired a Liebherr MK 110 from Hiap Tong Corporation to assist in the building of a factory extension at Tuas Avenue in Singapore.

The four-storey extension is being developed behind an existing two-storey structure in the built-up Tuas industrial zone. Access is via a single narrow entrance from the road that is approximately 5 metres wide. The very tight location meant that G Projects needed a crane that worked well in confined spaces while providing the same lifting and reach capacity of a large tower crane or large mobile crane.

The MK 110 is working at its full height of 33 m under hook with the horizontal jib using its full jib length of 52 m and the telescopic section fully extended.

The crane is working with its jacks extended to support both the short outrigger base of 5.95 m and the normal base of 8.20 m depending on jobsite and traffic conditions.

The Liebherr MK 110 mobile construction crane is on a two-month rental.
