Lifting Q & A

25 April 2008

How long have you been in the industry?

More than 10 years, starting in 1995 selling Kobelco machinery in the Middle East.

What has been the most significant development in your time?

The introduction of full hydraulic main and auxiliary winches withinternal oil-cooled, multi-disc brake system on Kobelco cranes in 1998

What is your favourite crane ever?

The Kobelco CKE2500

Is the crane industry safe?

Yes, although safety should always be in focus and never taken for granted. Although safety has been integrated in crane products and in our daily work as much as possible, it will always demand attention as there is always the risk of an accident or incident wherever cranes work.

What disappoints you most in the industry?

Sorry, only good experiences come to mind

Where do you see the industry in 20 years?

The number of manufacturers most likely will be further reduced and the market will be dominated by a few giant crane manufacturers, Kobelco being one of them.
