Opportunities and innovation at world construction conference

The fifth CEWEF conference will focus on new opportunities and innovation in the industry. The two-day conference will be held in Brussels, Belgium from 1 - 2 October, 2012.
Two of the confirmed speakers are Volvo Construction Equipment senior vice president Carl Lockwood and International Construction (iC) editor Chris Sleight.
Entitled 'The way forward', Mr Lockwood's presentation will look at future trends in the construction equipment sector. "We will start from a customer view of the future needs for productivity, efficiency and environmental care outlining the technology opportunities for possible solutions the industry will have to meet these challenges," he said.
Mr Sleight will take on trends in the global construction industry: the presentation will look at the key economic factors and global trends that drive the construction industry, and will provide forecasts for the sector.
It will also look in-depth at some of the most dynamic construction markets in the world, with regional analysis and an update on large, fast-growing developing markets such as Brazil, China, India and Russia.

CEWEF is organised by vehicle technology specialist Groeneveld Group and supported by KHL Group, the publisher of iC, as official media partner. It is also supported by the Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE), the European-level trade association for the construction equipment industry.
The conference will feature speakers from major construction equipment manufacturers, end users in the construction sector, major buyers such as rental companies and other key stakeholders.
As well as looking at innovation in the construction equipment sector, and the opportunity for greater commercial advantage for equipment owners through new technology and asset management techniques, the conference will consider other opportunities in the wider industry.
