Pyeroy has won the buildings maintenance contact at Huntsman's chemical plant in the North of England.

Pyeroy Ltd a UK supplier of industrial services to the chemical, petrochemical, energy, marine, infrastructure and construction services sector, has secured a new building and civil and fabric maintenance services contract with Huntsman Ltd.

Huntsman is a large chemical manufacturer, the contract involves providing site maintenance support services at the company's Tioxide site at Greatham, Cleveland in the North East of England.

The contract is for an initial three year period with a further two-year option, Pyeroy will be responsible for building and civil works under and maintenance work across the site maintaining the integrity of both the buildings and plant.

Hugh Pelham, managing director of Pyeroy, said, "We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and expand on our relationship with a major client like Huntsman.

"Our proposal to bring together specialist market sector work under an integrated bundled service proposition was found to be compelling and we look forward to further developing our relationship on such a prestigious site."

The Pyeroy Group is based in Gateshead and employs 1000 people working on industrial, construction and marine projects throughout the UK and Ireland. The company provides a range of industrial services, which comprise contract scaffolding and equipment hire, surface preparation and application of marine/industrial protective coatings, insulation, civil engineering/building works and environmental management services such as nuclear decommissioning and asbestos removal.
