WATM Crane Sales and Services, a Grove dealer in Western Australia, has ordered seven GMK6300L all terrains to work in the region’s mining sector.

Four units are already at work and the rest will be delivered over the next few months.

Commenting on the order, Anthony Lazenby, managing director at WATM, said, “Local WA mining operations are still growing; new mines are being set-up and existing mines are expanding. Companies are looking for higher capacity machines that can lift large components, reducing build times significantly.

“We will sell more Grove 300 tonne all terrain cranes this year than any other Grove model and we expect the region’s growing LNG sector to be a major market for these machines in the future, as well as the general rental sector.”

The GMK6300L, which has an 80 metre boom, will be used for assembly and maintenance work at iron ore mines across Western Australia.
