US-based drilling services specialist Boart Longyear will showcase its full range of sonic tooling at Bauma this year.

The company says its experts will also be on site to demonstrate, among other things, the recently launched LS250 MiniSonic drilling rig, promising to provide operators with a safer working environment, while delivering accurate and relatively undisturbed core samples.

Other recent developments on show from Boart Longyear will include StopeMate, a compact and easy-to-assemble pneumatic production drill, capable of drilling depths of 12 to 25 m; and the LX6 Rig, featuring steel crawlers that allow it to travel over difficult terrain. The StopeMate is also capable of wireline and conventional coring.

The comany's director of sales for the EMEA region, Pascal Lefevre, said, “Boart Longyear serves a number of industries, including construction but we’re not as well known in this market.

“Bauma provides an opportunity for us to build our reputation within the construction industry, meet with current customers and forge new relationships with potential customers from around the world.”
