Speedy wins Carillion contract extension

21 February 2012

Speedy Hire has signed a three-year extension of its preferred supplier agreement with UK-based contractor Carillion worth in excess of £50 million.

The UK-based rental firm is now contracted until 2016 as Carillion's preferred supplier for a full range of products and services across all of its UK operations and joint ventures where it is the lead company.

Speedy's chief executive Steve Corcoran said he was ‘delighted' to be extending the relationship with Carillion.

"This new agreement is another important step in our growth in our key markets of water, waste, energy and transport, all of which are undertaking major new infrastructure projects in the UK," Mr Corcoran said.

Further UK growth will see Speedy open three more ‘superstores' by the end of February in a bid to improve customer service, product availability and operational efficiency.
