Terex Construction is launching three micro excavators in the 1 t, 1.5 t and 1.9 t sizes under a badging agreement with Italy's Sampierana, which markets its minis under the Eurocomach brand.

The three models will be the TC10, TC15 and TC19, with the 1 t and 1.9 t models to be shown at Intermat. Initially, Terex will be able to sell the minis in Scandinavia, Germany, France and the UK.

Jacqueline Anderson, Terex Construction's marketing director for Europe, the Middle East and Russia, said the rental sector would be a key target market for the micros; "We want to launch them and get good strong customer testimonials before launching elsewhere. The launch is really in response to dealer requests."

The TC10 has a 7.6 kW engine and a digging depth of 1.62 m, while the TC15 has a 11.2 kW engine and 2.1 m digging depth. The TC19 as the same engine as the TC15 and a 2.3 m digging depth.

Terex will continue to market its previous smallest model, the TC16, including the TC 16 Twin Drive model - with a diesel engine and electric motor drive - which was previewed at Bauma and shown at the International Rental Exhibition (IRE) last summer.
