VIDEO: Equipment manufacturers 2008 results round up

A group of nine major equipment manufacturers in Europe and the US saw their sales rise an average of +10% last year, but operating profits fell by a quarter. Results for the fourth quarter of the year were starker with sales down more than -6% compared to the same period in 2007, and profits wiped-out.

In this video, Chris Sleight looks at the winners and losers over the last year, and especially its final quarter, with an overview of how profitability has changed in the industry and which companies are the best performers.
