European construction - outlook 2008

The European construction market is heading for a slowdown in 2008, but there will still be positive growth. In this presentation, given at the official opening of the Samoter construction equipment exhibition in Verona on 5 March, Chris Sleight looks at the prospects for the industry this year and beyond. Analysis of different regions and sectors is accompanied by Construction Europe’s own research into confidence in the industry. In addition, we look at how the turmoil on the stock markets this year might affect the industry in 2008 and beyond.
