AVS System Lift presented a new e-Learning training option at the A+A safety and security show in Düsseldorf during October.

The German rental company partnership organisation says the e-Learning system is designed for operators of lifts, trucks, forklifts, cranes and telehandlers who are taking refresher courses.

According to statutory insurance organisation DGUV operators must take an annual test to ensure they are still competent. The System Card allows operators to take the refresher course in 15-minute multimedia learning units.

Once the test has been completed participants receive a certificate via e-mail, while their employer receives a copy of it.

Also on the AVS System Lift stand was a Genie Z30/20N RJ articulated boom with the manufacturer’s Operator Protection Alarm System (OPA).

In addition System Lift provided talks on personal protection equipment (PPE), exiting platforms at height, the EN 280 regulations, diesal particulate filters and hybrid technology.
