Two US rental veterans have launched a price comparison website for equipment rental. RentalHawk.com, based in Los Angeles, California, has been created by Robert Gray, a former United Rentals sales representative, and Mark Richter, a more experienced rental figure with a track record including Briggs Equipment, Diamondback Rentals and United Rentals.
Profits up at Tutor Perini
Tutor Perini reported second quarter sales of US$ 1.3 billion down just -0.4% on the same period last year. Pre-tax profits for the quarter increased +37% to US$ 61 million, up from US$ 44 million twelve months ago.

Rental revenues at H&E Equipment Services in the US fell by 33.4% to US$50.1 million for the second quarter of the year.
